The Five Miles Inn - Riverside Bar & Restaurant

Welcome and thank you for visiting the new (and we hope improved) Web site for The Five Miles Inn. The website is not the only thing that’s new! The venue now has a new landlord Matt who runs the front of house and landlady Marissa a fully qualified chef who is responsible for all the food at the venue.

Since their arrival in August 2005 they have embarked on a major program of refurbishment with no expense spared, including a complete remodelling of the Riverside Lounge, The Moorings Restaurant and the Wheelhouse Bar.

Their labours have been justly rewarded with levels of trade greater than for many a year. Missy’s traditional home cooking has proved to be a particular attraction, and it is now highly recommended to book, particularly on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtimes. The venue boasts 4 acres of landscaped grounds. There is no doubt that few could fail to be impressed by the beauty of this small corner of paradise in the heart of the Fens. 300 feet of decked moorings and over five hundred feet more of grass moorings make it highly popular with the boating fraternity.

Supervised children are welcome up to 9pm, and are catered for with their own play-park, secure from both the road and river.

Whether it’s just a quiet drink, a family meal or a big night out, The Five Miles Inn has a great deal to offer. Work is nearly complete on five newly appointed en-suite letting bedrooms which should be ready by Autumn, and bookings are currently being taken – just ring for details!
